If you have a stationary pointing device such as a trackball, touchpad, etc, it is worth enabling the “continuous scroll” mode (found under the Mode menu). Normally, when the cursor gets to the edge of the screen, you have to release the button and move the cursor back to the opposite side, in order to continue dragging the map. With a normal mouse, this is not much of a problem, since you have a limited amount of desk-space to move the mouse, but it is rather awkward with other pointing devices. Continuous scroll locks the cursor in place, so you don’t have to re-position it when it reaches the edge of the screen.
