To move (or pan) your view of the map, simply click anywhere on the map and drag it with the mouse.
There are multiple options for zooming in and out:
If you have a mouse with a wheel, roll the wheel away from you to zoom in (show more detail) or towards you to zoom out.
If your mouse doesn't have a wheel, click the right mouse button. A pop-up menu opens with commands to zoom in and out.
On the keyboard, press the + key to zoom in and the - key to zoom out. Pressing = also zooms in, so you don't need to hold down the shift key to enter +.
There are also zoom-in and zoom-out buttons on the toolbar.
If you have a touch-screen, you can pinch-zoom using two fingers.
Each time you zoom, the focal point (the point that doesn’t move on the screen) is the cursor position. This allows you to quickly zoom in on any part of the map just by pointing at it and rolling the wheel or clicking the + key.
